About
Greywire Studio
Greywire Studio designs guitar effects pedals that work as a connected system. It's part of Cherry Blossom Development, a small software and hardware company.
Why we're building this
Lots of companies make great pedals. Very few make pedals that know about each other. We think the board should follow the song: set it up once, then play the show with one foot.
The names follow a wire theme. Greywire is the brand, Linework is the series of linked pedals, and each pedal is named after something from the world of power lines and signals.
Where things stand
| Flashover | Circuit designed and simulated, circuit boards laid out. A breadboard prototype is being built to hear it before boards are made. |
|---|---|
| Switchyard | Features decided and the control protocol drafted. Breadboard prototype planned. |
| Switchyard with effects | Planning a version with built-in digital effects. |
| App and network | Being designed alongside the pedals. |
Nothing is for sale yet. Names, features and looks may change before launch.
Built in the open
The circuit designs, simulations and planning documents live in a public repository, so you can follow along.
