The Linework series

How Linework works

Your guitar signal goes through the pedals the way it always has. Alongside it, a small control loop links every pedal to Switchyard, so one tap can change the whole board.

Two paths on one board

Linework connections The guitar signal runs from the guitar through Flashover and another Linework pedal to the amp. Separately, Switchyard's control loop runs out to Flashover, on to the next pedal, and back to Switchyard. A phone connects to Switchyard over USB. The audio path

Guitar, pedals, amp, in whatever order you like. Flashover's sound is fully analog; the digital parts only turn its knobs and switches.

The control loop

Short 3.5 mm cables run from Switchyard to the first pedal, pedal to pedal, and back to Switchyard. Because the loop comes back, Switchyard hears every pedal and can tell you if a cable comes loose.

From setlist to stage

01 · At home

Build your setlist

In the app, list your songs and split each into parts: intro, verse, chorus, solo.

02 · At home

Dial in each part

For each part, set every pedal: on or off, every knob, every switch. The app saves each distinct sound once and reuses it.

03 · On stage

Tap through the show

Switchyard's Up and Down footswitches move from part to part. Every pedal changes instantly, with no phone or network needed.

Works with what you have

  • Every Linework pedal works on its own as a normal pedal.
  • Physical knobs never fight the presets: turn a knob and it picks up from the current setting.
  • Switchyard has an extra MIDI output that sends program changes to MIDI pedals from other brands.
  • Switchyard keeps your setlist in its own memory and resumes where you left off when powered up.
